Project Brutality is a mod for Doom 2 that, although starting as a fork of the great Brutal Doom, over time and with updates, has become a completely different independent mod with its own assets and its own official campaign mode. The result is a radically different experience from the original Doom, with many more weapons and enemies, tons more gore and greatly improved visuals.
An easy-to-install mod
To play Project Brutality, you'll need to download and unzip the latest available version of GZDoom first. In addition to this, you'll also need a copy of the original IWADs, as is common with the vast majority of Doom mods. If you don't have access to the original game IWADs, you can use Freedoom instead. Finally, simply unzip the mod and drag the PK3 file to the GZDoom executable. After this, the mod will start automatically.
Much more than just weapons
Some players think that Project Brutality simply introduces more weapons to the original game, but nothing could be further from the truth. Not only does the mod feature over 20 weapons, most brand new, but it will also allow you to fight more than twice as many of Doom's regular enemies, including upgraded versions of virtually all the demons. You'll also be able to use new power-ups and even new skills and moves. One standout feature is that you can dual-wield weapons, with a different one in each hand. You can also slide over the ground, double jump or use a quick melee attack.
One of the best mods for Doom
Download Project Brutality if you like FPS games, especially boomer shooters. This mod turns the classic Doom 2 into a fast-paced and brutal title, with spectacular graphics and a huge amount of surprises even for veterans of the franchise. This is a must-have mod for anyone who knows what a PK3 or WAD file is.
